Project Portfolio
Proven Performance Across the Globe

Kronus Engineering has delivers energy storage solutions for a wide range of commercial and industrial projects — from critical-backup systems in Africa to powering entire villages in Alaska. While many of our projects are confidential, the scope, scale, and complexity of our experience speaks for itself.
Our Project Sites
From remote microgrids in the Arctic to urban C&I deployments in North America, our solutions are engineered to perform. A map of our projects with some high-level information can be viewed below. More to come.

Featured Project
Shaktoolik, Alaska
Shaktoolik is a remote Alaskan village with a population of approx. 250 residents, located in a subarctic climate with maritime influences. To meet its energy needs, Shaktoolik relies on a local microgrid powered by diesel generators and wind turbines. In an effort to reduce reliance on diesel, the village sought a battery system that would allow them to operate entirely on wind and battery power during times of sufficient wind.

Kronus Engineering designed, assembled, and commissioned a 432 kWh / 360 kW BESS in a rugged and durable custom 20-ft container with a robust HVAC system to keep the batteries within their optimal temp. range year round. The system stabilizes the remote microgrid, optimizes energy use, and lower's the village's operating costs.
